Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport (WTB) has export operations are now well underway, with Cathay Pacific’s freighter service to Hong Kong entering its third month of operations.
A range of freight mile stones continue to keep the staff at WTB on their toes, with everything from frozen beef and fresh produce to high value art work and this nine tonne gas turbine pictured below, being loaded onto the Tuesday evening freight service.
Cathay Pacific’s extensive cargo network, which is accessible to exporters from WTB via Hong Kong, provides great opportunities for organisations looking to transport time sensitive, high value or large goods from eastern Australia to anywhere in the world.
Currently sitting at one freighter service between Toowoomba and Hong Kong a week, Cathay Pacific hopes to expand its Toowoomba operations in the next 12 months with a second weekly freighter.
