Aircraft noise is part of the daily operations at any airport and is recognised as an important issue, which is constantly being addressed by the aviation industry. Whilst most aviation related noise is generated by aircraft and not the airport itself, at Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport we recognise that we have a part to play in helping the community understand the effects of aircraft noise.
Aircraft noise is managed by Airservices Australia – a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
In consultation with the Civil Aviation Authority (CASA), The Department of Defence, Airservices Australia, and the Department of Transport and Infrastructure, the departures and approaches to and from Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport have been designed to maximise safety and minimise the impact on communities surrounding the airport.
